This one was my dads that he hunted with for years before he died. One of my all time favorite memories in the woods. The guy in the middle is my cousin that passed away just a few months ago and the log haired hippie freak is my brother, one of the best woodsman you will ever meet. |

Lots of good memories! I always wanted to use the gun to take a deer but my brother used it and I never had the chance. My brother runs dogs for fun and takes a few clients each year, even though he tries to talk all of them out of shooting anything. When I told him I wanted to come up and shoot one over his dogs, with dad's gun he was excited! We hunted for 8 days, treed at least one a day, had a couple typical train wrecks that happen when running dogs and had an incredible time. We treed this one after a decent run and decided he was big enough. He weighed 265 field dressed and best of all was only about 100 yards up hill from a road! If you have never dragged a bear you will not understand why that is so nice. |
