| Post subject: | Layout blinds |
Looking for everyones opinion on a decent layout blind. I sold off my Avery power hunter because it was too damn small by the time I had all my cold weather gear on. I couldn't hardly get the flip top to stay down and still be able to get my calls to my face. Any input or experience ya got would be a big help. Thanks |

I really like my ground force. All the FA brand ones ive used seemed like a PITA to rig up/down. |

I have a groundforce as well... I like the concept but dislike the bottom end being bag shaped... It just gets my feet all tangled up in the material with my boots on... More often than not I use a seat made by lucky duck that reclines back and use burlap with slits cut in the material to brush it in, Comfortable enough to shoot and low profile enough to film out of... They now make a dedicated layout blind that is similar to the one I have... Mine didnt come with the wind flap that has the brush loops... |

I have two of the Cabelas Ultimate blinds They hold brush well and are comfortable and you can put them in a small amount of standing water. They do have a taller profile than some, but I just brush them good Had them for 4 seasons now. I'm 6'3" and I fit fine. |

Thanks for the info guys. Ease of setup and tear down is a factor as its usually freezing ass cold out by the time we start using them. My old man had one (not sure of the brand) that was good sized and comfy but a bitch to setup. It used a few c clips to hold everything together. Small parts and gloves arent exactly a good combination and I would be real pissed if I lost a clip in the dark and couldn't set the thing up. |

I've got a Rogers brand and a drake bunker the Rogers just has a few pins and your done you should check them out they have big man stuff also. My drake is a Cadillac but I don't like carrying it because it's heavy as lead and has several pins but it has a lot of adjustability |

I had great luck with a finisher and got many years out of it.. It was time for a new one, so this year I bought rig em rights low rider 2 layout.. It measures 96/48/12.. I fit comfortably in it with winter clothes on, And I like that this blind has a lower profile as well.. |
