I am super lucky to be in a spot where I can shoot almost every species here in Canada- restrictions only on Blacks, barrows, and harlequin. I average anywhere from 13-20 species a year. Whats it like where you guys hunt? Mallards Blacks Wood ducks BWT GWT Gadwall Pintail Wigeon Shoveler Lesser BB Greater BB Goldeneye Bufflehead Redhead Ringneck Mergansers x 3 types (common, red breasted, hooded) Old Squaw Ruddy Duck This is just this season ^^ not counting Hybrids. How many different types do you guys usually get? |

In descending order of # killed per season: mallards, gadwalls, wood ducks, snows, gwt, specks, pintails, widgeon, and once or twice a year we'll get good and toasty and go on an afternoon boot lip beat down. Dont shoot Mergansers and ruddy ducks.. Got plenty of em on the catfish ponds, I'd just rather not waste steel shot on them. |
