I have a 5 year old boy almost 6 and right when he was born i sold my dog and got out of it. I had a english gyp that i can only hope i'll get another like her. Bought her and litter mate as a pair for 100 bucks. Took her til she was over a year before she would ever even bark at a coon in the cage. Heck i tried running her on deer she wouldn't do shit. But man when it finally struck with her it was on then she never stopped treeing and was spot on very few slick trees. My boys big enough to start carrying along so I'm looking to get another puppy and get back in it. |

Most coon hunters I know have dogs they turned anywhere from 5000.00 to 50,000.00 dollars down for their super masked bandit chasers. I always laugh and tell them thats where two fools met.... |

The guy who said 5-50k for a coon dog I get people want a good dog. But to me the pursuit of perfection stops at 5 grand on the very high end. I've met guys before preaching bloodline how good their started dog was and he was worth every bit of 8 thousand but my papered lab with slightly above average blood dog I spent $250 on as a puppy is a better duck getter. Some people Sent from...wait, Where am I? |

Getr I live in coon hunting central. Coon hunters galore. I will ask about a redbone for you. I'm not sure but I think summer running season is in. I heard some barking last weekend at the back of my property. I have friends who hunt and compete with their dogs. |
