Warning: I'm brand new to bowfishing So back during gator season, we found a spot that was overrun with gar. The next night out we brought gigs and during our gator hunting breaks we would slaughter the gat with the gigs. So for the past few weeks, I've been searching craigslist and looking for a deal on a bowfishing set-up since I figured it was the natural progression. I was knocking around in Academy in Monday and saw this "deal" which seemed too good to be true. The Salesman confirmed the price and although I went in to buy fishing line, I walked out with a full bowfishing kit. The reason why I assumed it was such a good deal was because the reel alone was practically $90 and the reel kit, rest, arrows and DVD was $159 on the shelf. I have one almost identical to that one, paid $330 for it. you got a damn good deal! |

It was at the Academy on Southside by the Avenues. Yeah if they had more I would have bought them as well, but they only had one. I texted my buddies and they went to all the others in Jax, but all the other stores had them regularly priced Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Yes, it is a very good deal. I have one of the same set ups and it works really well. I am sure there may be better setups but for the average Joe going once in a while it will be great. |

Hell of a deal! both mine have lasted 5 years now and shoot like they are new. |
