Re: got to back down and real faster! No thanks. Been offshore fishing a bunch. Never used a leader longer than 12 foot. And wouldn't ever just for the reason. I don't trust the wrap technique. Never will. Just takes the one time for the fish to be faster than you and the wires got your hand wrapped to your bicep before you're able to do your hand pistol and let it go.
It's simple. get a mud motor. shoot ducks in the face. |

Re: got to back down and real faster! I've done some when I was younger and use to be big into diving. Just seemed sketchy that he double wrapped with two green sharks right there and then to reach down to waters edge. I've seen enough big sharks come from right under the boat to grab a fish or bait and you don't see em coming until their heads are breaking the water.

Re: got to back down and real faster! I never double wrap. With the right gloves you can get enough pressure with one wrap to pull the fish to you or in some instances, the boat to the fish.
