I am looking for a new jacket, that can really take cold and rain. I bought something at cabbalas last year but did not like that it was short. The next size up with sort of big. But I liked that you could use it to layer up. It had like 3 parts to it.

What do you all suggest.

If you ain't spending $400 on a light weight Sitka jacket then you ain't in the "in" crowd.

Always been content with the browning stuff, but currently have 2 game winners from academy. One is more of a wader length, the other more parka. The first is what I wear when it's colder. It's not multi layer, just thicker. The other has a liner. They both have made their share of rainstorms, haven't been wet yet in 2 years with both.

I have a Browning jacket that I bought in the 90's and it is still waterproof, hasn't leaked yet. It's made with gore-tex. Only thing I don't like about the dirty bird stuff is the bright ass orange logo. What's up with all the florescent colors on camo these days?

I love my browning dirty bird. Try amazon.com, way cheaper there. I paid 85 vs 200

I also like the Sitka came pattern on both da marsh and timber.

If its sunny, the marsh pattern blends into anything. Cloudy days, the timber pattern would be better.

Beretta Xtreme Ducker line of duck hunting gear is top notch. I have the 3-in-1 jacket, and decoy gloves. Cant beat them and Ive had browning and drake.

I have few of the Sitka jackets but I think if I had to pick one it would be the delta. The duck oven and kelvin are comfy but the outer material sucks. Too delicate feeling. If I rip it in the bush I wouldn't be shocked. I never really had a bitch about drake other than they never had a truly waterproof piece. I'm interested in the First Lite line but I've yet to be in a store that sells it. The First Lite Seak stormtight jacket has really good reviews for a waterproof layer. A good review can be found on the Rokslide forum. Their fusion camo looks good too.
