Took some advice from folks and got rid of the 50 pound test braided, ditched the swivels, and got bigger hooks. I now have trot line string We had good luck down in Alabama. Before I could get 20 baited and in the water, I had already caught three cats. Ran 20 today on the White River in Arkansas and did not catch diddly. Think I am going to move further north into deeper water and go back to using cut bait. |

I am enjoying running the boat. Had some trouble today really sliding in the turns. Discovered that if trim the motor down just a bit, it turns a whole lot better. |

And while the noodles did not work out real well today, did get to spend some good time with my daughter before she starts back to school next week. |

Today I went further north to deeper water in an area we have not fished. Told my wife that she was the guide, pick the spot. Got way more fish than yesterday. Got a feeling I will hear about this for a while. |
