Re: Court against public hunting on Catahoula Lake
I live roughly 15 minutes from the lake and have been on it my entire life and so has my dad and his dad and so on for the past god knows how many generations. The ruling is the biggest bunch of shit in the world. Catahoula LAKE has been classified as a lake since the 1700's when the french were still exploring it. This ruling is nothing more than overturning of land in the favor of a few people backed by Justiss oil company so that they can drill oil out in the lake bottom itself. Losing almost 46 square miles of pristine duck habitat in the name of money. Sad part is my family owns most of the Catahoula lake bottom and none of them are worried about getting the land back regardless how much money is owed to all of them. Money can't replace the place most of us grew up and call home.
