Good morning fellers, Trying to get into Crawfish trapping in Charleston SC. Any tips or information will be great. My question is can you trap them in the winter? Do they go deep in the mud for the winter? I have been reading on them but have not seen information on habits.

Thank you for helping.

Thank you Jobe. I will do that. As for the other 87 people that viewed the post go ahead and keep your tips and information to yourself. You most likely suck at catching Crawfish anyhow.

Lol, nice rage. You asked about crawfishing on a mudmotor forum. A lot of us like to read the questions people post, but have never tried to catch them and have no real interest.

Btw, a quick Google search yields all sorts of information about their habits.

Sensitive souls.......

I've found plenty of information about what they do during different weather conditions, times of the year, and water levels. If you can't figure out how to use Google to get that same information, at least try to find a forum dedicated to crawfishing. It'll be a lot more useful to you than being butthurt here trying to argue with me about how you've failed to find the information that exists on the internet, and how useless we are in helping you towards your endeavor. Maybe also try to comprehend the point I was attempting to get across to you. It may have been the fishing section, but it's a sub section on a mudmotor forum. There have been and probably still are some people that crawfish here, but they didn't join this forum to talk about crawfishing, and probably haven't read your thread. The people that have chose not to feed you incorrect or inexperienced information aren't your problem, nor are the people that know about what you asked but don't owe you anything and decided not to help. Good luck with your efforts.

Oh, it's not the asking of the question I was responding to, it's your obvious problem with the fact you didn't get the answers you thought you deserved.

It's easy, put bait in a trap and place trap in water. Leave for an extended period of time and then come back and check it. Pretty simple concept but I didn't expect a yankee to know this
