This is the first time I have seen Beaver Lake froze over. I had to bust ice for a half mile or better to get to any open water. Hoping it warms up a wee bit so I can get back after trying to find and pattern crappie and striper. |

I did not exactly kill it my last time out. The temps were down around eleven degrees. I was impressed at how well the Gator Tail XD runs in cold weather. Never had any problems with it starting, or pushing the Uncle J through some pretty rough ice. My last outing going after crappie, and all I was picking up was little bitty bass. |
