Post Savage Renegauge
I'm on my second Benelli and am tired of the inability to adjust the length of pull or comb height to any significant degree. I see that Savage has a new offering that they say is very adjustable. Anybody have any experience with the Renegauge? Thanks.

Shouldered one. It's fine. Haven't fired one nor own one so i won't be able to comment beyond that. I'm fairly partial to remingtons, have a couple 11-87s and a v3, and the renegauge wasn't offensive. Randy Wakeman did a fairly decent review on youtube of the savage. He didn't like it that much based mostly on the balance, but otherwise seemed to be ok with it. I say if you canbget a chance to shoot one and like it, roll with it. If not, the versamax and fabarm l4s or xlr waterfowler might be of interest if you want the adjustability.

I'll add that I've considered getting one to try out for a bit, but haven't gotten around to actually committing to one.

Thanks Russ. I watched the Randy Wakeman review after I posted. Doesn't sound like a well thought out design at 8 pounds. I'll keep looking.

Check out the Browning Maxus too. I've shot one for the last ~7 years and it's been flawless. The gas system also cuts recoil significantly.

If you don't mind the safety position in front of the trigger, the Beretta A400 is an awesome gun too

I use a Benelli sbe 3 and have had zero issues. Hunt almost exclusively saltwater and have never had malfunctions that weren’t a cause of cheap ammo. I love it

The model makes a big difference. The SBE 3 trigger pull is adjustable, the stock is adjustable, etc. not sure what model
He is talking about.

I’m sure the Benelli has this option, too....but, I know my A400 has shims to adjust the stock...good to take it to a gunsmith and have them fit you to the gun with the correct shims.
