How long of shots are you looking at? If not to far look into the big bore AR15. Chris |

no short shots all over 300yds up to 900yds. Hogs in West TX are smaller but just as bad as the mexicans.....they are taking over i tell ya. This years dove hunt we killed 5 with our shotguns. later. |

Had an R25 for awhile, it was nice, didn't take but a few shots to heat up the thinner profile barrel compared to say a dpms 308 with heavier barrel. Shot great for a factory rifle. |

A AR in a 308 is a flat killing machine. They can lay down some ass really good. Randy |

last time we went spotlighting, 3 were dropped at just under 200 yards. one was standing still, the other 2 were not. weapon of choice... good ole' fashion 30'06 bolt action. just sayin' |

I found the dpms ar-10 version to be very accurate but the lower receiver seemed a little under engineered for the .308cal. If your are gonna spend that much you should take a good look at the m1a rifles. I can personally say after putting about a thousand rounds through both that the m1a is way better built and is worth the money. |
