I heard a generator is not that safe on an aluminum boat? Down here a lot of the charging systems on most flounder boats in the area run off an alternator hooked to a fan motor etc.

I have a few 12V light setups I've been playing with but was curious how many people are running generators on their rigs like the Honda or Generac. How does it hold up in the salt air? Any safety procedures so your not getting electrocuted
