We are staying at Elliots Camp Ground. Its about 5 mins from Packs and they have tent camping and camper spots, shower facilities and boat ramps. I'ver never stayed there, so I can't give a review but thats an option. Also last I heard, Packs still has some tent spots available. We camped there last year, along side Marsh Chicken. It wasn't bad but there aren't any shower facilities, so you are roughing it. SCMudder, are you staying close to Terry? I'm going to stop in and show him my new rig before we go bowfishing. I'll introduce myself if I happen to see y'all Like Marsh Chicken said, if you don't buy at least one hand of poker, then you need to stay at the house. It takes alot to put this event on and the money goes to a good cause. Everyone in my boat buys a hand whether they want to play or not. Also buy a shirt..... Station 4 is the place to be, from what I hear...... As far as gas, 6 gals will do you fine during the run but I would bring more than that for the whole weekend. |

Elliot's and Carolina King are both full from what I understand. If you're just driving in Sat morning you could always leave the run and drive on to Moncks Corner. I got a hookup on a hotel in MC if anyone was to stay there. Just need a heads up. Stfull, I think we are right beside Terry or very close to him. But in all actuality Carolina isn't too terribly big. There are plenty of places to camp in the swamp if need be. |

We will leave out Sun morning for the mud run around 8:30. It is right at an hour. Low tide is right at 11 that Sunday and it's a negative one. Should be a great time. |

We camped on the point at packs and sat there after the run and watched DNR bring 5 or 6 people in. They were sitting in the from of the boats, with life jackets on, their hands behind their backs. We watched them give out breathalyzers to alot of people at the landing. |

Knew it wasn't many. And I think it was confirmed that those arrested were not participating in the run. Only the partying. I'm not going against anything you're saying. Just that 5-6 BUI's out of 500+ boats is surprising. Like I had said, drivers obeyed the law for the most part. And sftull isn't exaggerating on DNR's presence. They will be there with backup and backup for their backup. |

I agree SCmudder....they percentage of BUI's was very small but just wanted to give all the newbies a heads up. DNR is pretty sneaky. In 2011 they were there in white CC boats. 2012 they had the CC's and alot of camo jon boats......they blended in VERY well. I finished my "home built surface drive" 3 days before the run, so I didn't have time to register it. We were ridding back to Packs and a boat pulled up next to us, I waved and then realized....ohhh shit...dnr. They motioned me over, asked were my registration sticker was. I explained my story to them, they checked to make sure I had everything else that I needed to have, then wrote me a ticked for $300+ dollars for no registration on the motor. Very nice guys but make sure you stuff it up to date. |

The problem with the TnA is that the run is so long and there is so much TnA that you may or may not see the action. I have missed it the last two years. We will be filming also. |

Works fine for me. The landing is on Cypress Gardens Road going out of town from Moncks Corner. And I agree Chad. Bushy has some fine mud. Cypress isn't bad in some spots but damn at all the mud/grass mix. Not too mention a few sandy spots |
