I'm too lazy to go through the whole gator glide process. I'm gonna bring like six cans of Pam with me and spray it on the bottom of my boat at the hotel.

I just wrap my pull rope around the prop and give it hell... If that won't do it I have the kick start for backup.

Im gonna be there......i worked the intake some more. Its not where i want it yet but the sharp edge 90 degree angle has a much smoother transition now and all the flashing is ground and polished. After the mud run, im gonna pull the motor off and gg the bottom and while motor is off, i may pull the heads and see what can be done there.

Man, I need some motivation to get off my butt and work on my motor again. I tore it down the day before yesterday and haven't touched it since.

Been messing around with the throttle ever since I bought it and no matter what I do it is impossible to get full travel out of it. I ordered a new throttle lever on ebay but I'm not sure if it's going to have enough travel until it gets here and I hook it up. This thing has been really frustrating lately. It has always had a habit of dying for no good reason. Last time I took it out it would run great out of the water/mud but as soon as you put the prop down it died like someone turned the key off (no bogging or out of the ordinary sounds). It would happen anywhere from immediately to 15 seconds or so after a load was put on it. I drained the carb bowl afterward and everything that came out looked like pure clean gas. I wonder if the carb is screwed up because the primer bulb floods the engine so bad gas comes out of the muffler at the slightest squeeze. Shouldn't the float stop the flow of gas once the bowl is full???

Don't want to sound like a but hike at all but this is as simple as it gets when it comes to floats

I don't exactly know what a but hike is, but I dont think you sound like one at all and I appreciate the link.

So according to this video (and the most basic laws of physics) my carb is fukked right?

I wouldn't necessarily expect the float to stop all the pressure from the bulb but I would expect at the very least a noticeable back pressure on the bulb......
Feel free to explain everything to me like I'm 5 years old. I know very little about small gasoline engines.
