Post Many thanks to my rescuers!
I want to take a minute to thank everybody involved in plucking my sorry ass (and my wife) out of the river yesterday morning. I didn't get names, but there were at least 4 boats on top of us in less than a minute.

Many thanks to the guy in the big camo gatortrax hull that hauled us back to the landing.
Many thanks to brown_tail for lending a dry coat to my wife to keep her warm.
Many thanks to everyone else who was there and helped muscle my skiff out of the water.

Also many thanks to everyone that helped at the end of the day when my electrical system went haywire and fuel line got plugged.

To the guy that helped me clean off all the electrical terminals early on, PM me your address so I can send you a pair of channelocks to replace the ones you left with me.
Also I ended up with someone's pocket knife. (One of the longtail crew I think?) Send me your address and I'll get it back to you.

Thanks to everyone who helped me out!

wow, stand up people that helped you and you are a stand up guy for getting them their stuff back too.

What actually happened? I think i read your boat started taking on water after a few swells? Glad you and yours are ok and your boat is ok too.

Caught a wake and the chine sheared hard to starboard and it rolled over and went down.
That was in the morning. Then at the end of the run everything went haywire from the effects of the sinking and I left all my tools in the truck on the second attempt. It took A LOT of help to get me running again to get back to the ramp.

Definitely plenty of stand up people around who were more than willing to lend a hand and it really meant a lot to me. I owe a lot of people a big debt of gratitude for their help.

Thanks a ton man.

The pliers might be mine but not sure. I helped out with the electrical... if they are your welcome to them and you don't owe me a thing. Just chalk it up to karma and pay it toward. Helping each other out when in need is just part of the game. Glad you and your wife are ok and you really made a statement showing up back out there and not letting it ruin your day.

Nah, it was someone in a surface drive rig.
The guy that had the brown skinned passenger (latino or pacific islander?) that made me laugh my ass of when he said something along the lines of "Yeah, that black guy does badass donuts. That's because us colored folks are just better at things like that." Dude was a riot! He kept me entertained while my boat was falling apart.

Thanks for the help Coupe. We had a good time hanging out with you.

Yeah, not shit about the backpack! I couldn't believe almost everything floated....... even my steel toe boots!

Hey bud no problem on the rescue. Glad everyone was ok and we managed to get your boat in mine and back to the bank. It was definitely a crazy way to get the ride started. And we hauled you back in an EXCEL not a gay Gatortrax lol.   . Glad you got to get back out on the water and still do some riding. Nice meeting you but suck it was on those terms.

My bad.... I didnt get a good look at the bow. The crimp and hunt deck looked like a GTrax.

Nice meeting you too. Thanks for the ride!
