I just spoke with the nice lady at La Quinta. We have 26 reserved rooms and several that have reserved rooms but not under the "SETX Mud Run" name... If you use our group name you can get the discount! The lady told me they have stabilized/ graveled the additional land to allow parking for up to 20 boats. They will also have a generator there for our use to charge any batteries etc. They have rented one on their own for our use. Please be respectful of this equipment We'll have Bridge City PD at the hotel Friday night & Saturday night keeping a watch on our vehicles & trailers. They will be mainly focused on the boat trailers, please remove any valuables from your boat & truck to reduce the risk of an incident taking place. Port Neches Police will watch the trailers at the launch on Saturday during the run. Saturday night Port Arthur PD will be watching our vehicles at Ancelet's The police are there only to provide security of our belongings and not there to police us. Please be respectful as this is the first year we are providing this. We felt the need this year to move forward with this idea. It's a large expense to come out of pocket on and we appreciate those that have contacted us to say thanks and/or to chip in for the costs. |
