I have checked availability with several of the hotels in Baytown with no luck. There was some type of car race last year and everything was booked for this same week. There are several hotels available in Winnie that I am looking into. How many people do we have looking for a place to stay Friday and/or Saturday night? ! |

There is a NHRA race somewhere close in Baytown and everything I've checked is booked. I would rather drive to Winnie than take my chances in the East side of Houston. That's the 1st place the fukn rats stopped when they left the 9th ward during Katrina. ! |

Hell you may be better off driving to the edge of Beaumont to stay. It's about 35-40min from the Trinity River bridge heading East. There are several decent hotels and eatin' joints right there at Walden Rd. If you got the room cheap enough it may be worth it. I wouldn't count it out either way. |

Yeah its pretty hectic around here. I live down the street from the Royal Purple race way and i can hear em every night and my neighborhood has a small airport that goes right through the middle of it and theres been leer jets coming in and out bringing the drivers and all. |

Ok Kyle. I will let you know what I find. Tx Country Inn in Hanaker is what your talking about Calphil. Brads, Chase and I stayed there last year. Damn raghead that owned and operated was a dick. I will go somewhere else. A few of the folks coming will not need to drive any further than absolutely necessary following the ride.  That's why I was looking at Winnie. ! |

Yeah that's the place I ended up on 105 but was gonna check on way back .. Winnie would be better than 146 area for sure Less chance of thieves overnight |

All the hotels on garth road were booked up? Thers like 5 right there on the corner of garth and i10 i find that hard to believe..? Thats alot of rooms... |

Boat parking was a bitch for one. We tried just backing the trailer over the curb in the grass and you'd thought we tried to steal his best camel. Not sure he got the memo that we were the paying customer. ! |

I have contacted the new owners of the former bait camp and storage yard just before the ramp. They will offer us boat parking / storage so you don't have to trailer your boat all over Baytown. You can always stay in Kemah and do the boardwalk Saturday night. |

Not worried a lot about me Ben but the girls ain't nearly as ready to party as Swampnuts and I! And no Clay, my face ain't the problem but the second part of Keith's name ... ^^^ ... is what I need to wash. I am looking at Hampton in Winnie. They have plenty rooms available and have room to park boats. Does anyone else have any input on this? |

I just remembered that theres a new RV park on 565 just before gou hole road. Its like a whole 3 minutes from the boat ramp. Its a brand new RV park and i think I remember hearing they had campers already set up you could pay to stay in for the weekend. Wouldnt hurt to call and see its better than driving all the way out to winnie for a hotel. I believe its called Mont Belvieu 565 RV resort. |

Thanks Quack. May be a plan for next year. We looked all over Baytown but the only thing decent with a room was over 200 a night. Fuk that. This was the same last year when Brad, Chase and I stayed with that damn Muslim in Hanaker. ! |

Showing saturday April 25 will be low tide in the morning then high in the afternoon. This is good, i talked to James about the stops on the poker run and the first stop In the morning will be in a good area with shallow water with OK mud. It's absolutely by no means soup mud but its do able. Just takes alittle time to get out of. Looking forward to it, been to a few SETX rides but never been to one in my own turf!
