Anyone who wants to eat with a big group on Friday night, please vote in the poll for a time, and post below for a headcount.

They can accomodate 70-80 of us and said we can do the full menu for the entire party. I made loose reservations for 40+. Will call to confirm time and headcount next Wednesday. The poll will be open until then.

If you're going to be up there Friday evening, please join us. It'll be good food, good times, and good people.

If the river is open (it may be closed due to the lake being at flood stage), we can travel by boat or car. If the river is closed, we'll have to travel by car. 10 min boat ride, 5 min car ride...

Just 1 question, since I live in the area, and have ate at both places, Big Pines and River Bend. Why River Bend? Service is slow, food not as good as Big Pines, and the only positive I know of is if your coming from the lake its closer than Big Pines. Just wondering.

I would have agreed with you, but my last few experiences at both restaurants have been the opposite of yours. Last two times I went to big pines, it wasn't very good, kind of a grimey buffet setup, and limited menu. First few times I went to river bend, I wasn't real happy with the service or the food, but the last few I was happier with both...Big Pines before it burned was one of my favorite places to go, anywhere. I've been very disappointed in it since the re-opening.

I agree, both do have their ups and downs. I was just wondering, Big Pines has a large front out door patio and River Bend has a screened in smaller patio. I up with either.

Me too really. Was just trying to get something reserved for us even though it looks like it's gonna be a relatively small group now. My crew voted for Riverbend so that's what we went with. He said the patio could hold about 80. That's more than we woulda had on Friday night even if everyone went.
