I've been training my pup in a field by the high school where i live. problem is that the field is used by a lot of other people too. so my pup gets distracted. I also need a place with some good water, nice sloping banks and all, to start her on water retrieves. anyone know of any areas? Another thing i need is a good source for either dead or alive pigeons and ducks. thanks for the help. |

Good Luck with that. I haven't found a good place myself yet. I do know to stay away from the Basin boat launches at Whiskey Bay and Henderson and Lake Martin. They are loaded with gators. Best bet is to find someone with a pond on their property. Unfortunately all my friends are broke. There is a baseball field down on La Nuevelle between Bonin and I think it is 89 heading towards Youngsville. I used to run my lab there until they started locking the gate. I noticed the other day they put up a play ground and the gates were open again. In Maurice by the Schlumberger yard is a park with big field that doesn't get much use. I use is some since it's close to the house. |

i actually passed by that pond on la neuvelle today and was thinking about using it. I live by comeaux and there is a large field behind the baseball park that I will start using. Its the pond for water training I'm having trouble with. |
