Remember dat he is only 7 weeks old and ya jus took him home. He needs to get comfortable wit his new surroundings. I used a stuffed duck wit a squeeker n dat. Ma u can also use one of dem toys from dem der pet stores dat u can put a treat n it for him...keep dat pups attention wit sum food. Peanut butter wurks well. |

He really doesn't wanna play with any toy. Tried 3 different kinds. Maybe he's too young still? R still adjusting maybe? He sleeps alot! Lol he got house trained down pact tho! I ordered the video waterdog it's in the mail. Just worried I got the only retriever in the world that doesn't wanna retrieve. Did it take any of y'all pups a day r two before they wanted to play? When we go outside if I run he will follow. Other than that he just lays down r sits |

My dog was the same way until he got comfortable. Now when I pull out his duck to practice with it looks like his is on speed because he gets so excited. |

Another vote for Water Dog. I am not a fan of training with toys. Toys are for playing and chewing. Birds and retrieving dummies are for fetching. Try a bird wing: dove, pigeon, teal, Mallard. Don't let him chew it, and don't let it get funky! Keep it, and spares, in the freezer. Just let him go after it and carry it around some. If he happens to pick it up and walk towards you with it, gently take it, and praise him like he just won the Nobel Peace Prize! Best of Luck with your new pup! |

Woke up this am, brought him out to pee and he acted more energetic this am. Threw the bumper 50 feet and off he went. Came back half way and started chewing it, to be expected. Guess he's adjusting |

Ma see der its only takin da pup der a day r two to become a lil more entergetic an playful. He jus needs a lil time der to get used to his new surroundings. "Water Dog" will be very helpful and fer now jus make it fun and enjoy him bein dat lil pup. Good luck. |

I haven't started training her yet. Just wanted to get her interested. I tried to teach her sit but I say sit she doesn't. When I force his ass down he wants to chew my hand so I stopped until my water dog DVD gets here. His name is drake |
