 Re: Which E-Collar?
I have been using the sport dog 2000 for around 3 years with no problems.I bought it on a sale thinking I wouldn't use it much and it turned out ok for me.I know a few people that have not had good luck with them ,but not in my case. If I had it to do all over again I would definately spend the money on a Tri-tronics,Or Dogtra collar. They are a bit more expensive but have a great reputation along with a award winning customer support.

 Re: Which E-Collar?
Just sent my Tritronics 70 series G2 in for repair after about 5 years. I threw new batteries and antenna at it but it didn't help. I got in touch with customer service and they repair units out of warranty for $150. I let them know bought $60 of batteries from them already and they took it in for repair for $90. I got it back last week in time for teal season(my current dog is the best I've run, but has a singing problem until he gets a few retrieves in the am so he requires a little "quiet reminder") They ended up replacing everything but the case and collar. WOW was I impressed-they not only make the best collar out there, but their customer support was as good as I could hope for! Prior to that I had Innotek and other brand collars and the only reason I mention Innotek is so that you will be sure to stay well away from them. Their customer service and product dependability was pitiful. When I asked about repair/replacement for a 13 month old collar, they said they didn't do repairs and offered a tiny discount on a new one. I was like: "I have one of your collars that is 13months old already- I don't need another decoy weight!"-CLICK

 Re: Which E-Collar?
Another vote for Tri-tronics. Got the Flyway and its probably one of the best all around collars out there.

 Re: Which E-Collar?
Thanks guys for the info I'm going to meet with my trainer when I leave galveston in a few weeks and see what collar he has been using and I will most likely go with the tritronics.

 Re: Which E-Collar?
I have a dogtra 280, I like it a lot.
2 guys I train with both have TT's (flyway and pro 500), the pro 500 stopped charging and the flyway's collar strap holder on the receiver broke and the knob came off the transmitter.
I've forgot to close my plugin spots on my dogtra numerous time and I didn't realize it until he came back out of a pond and it had water inside. It still works with no problems.
