It would be difficult to know who to recommend you to without more details from you...Price range? Hunting, hunt testing, field trials? How far you are willing to travel to get a good pup? There are many good breeders and trainers in your area, but need more info.

A good friend of mine will be breeding as soon as his jip comes into heat. She is a HRC with numerous other ribbins, but i think he is going to be askin like 800-1000 for a pup. she's about 50-60 lbs.

Got a litter about to hit the ground just down the road from me.

Sire is: HRCH Midnight Yankee Diamond- Cole
Cole is 2 1/2 years old. He has 2 master passes out of 2 attempts. He got his first master pass at a year and half old. He's out of GRHRCH Boomer MH x GRHRCH Lucy in the sky with Diamonds (one of current top producing females in HRC)

Mother is owned by Freddy McCory of Outback labs. She has produced some titled dogs.

They are asking $500 for the pups.

I've had Cole in training before and he is an amazing animal. There isn't much he can't do. He's a for sure future GRHRCH dog and a MH.

Really? No shit! You don't think i know this. I've got a dog with a grand pass and is a MH. I know what it takes for a dog to be a GRHRCH and a MH. Trained with over 15 GRHRCH MH dogs in my time. I know what it takes and Cole has it.

Buying a pup betting on the "guaranteed Future success of the sire" now that is almost as funny as the Chessy that can "beat your dog up" and still pick up a duck, better watch yourself with those "peakes", know more than one advocate who has been up on the pulpit praising their merits only to have them turn and "beat them up" , Save yourself the pain and buy a puppy out a Black "titled" Master Hunter or Field Champion. If you need a hunting dog that beats others up, go down to the hood for pedigrees on real fightin dogs. Retriever training.net is the top internet source for solid litters of puppies.

The only litter I'd recommend in the LA area is in Beaumont, TX but they are $1200 I think. FC AFC sire (went 9 series in the National Open that is going on right now) and a MH QAA bitch.

Say what you want to say guys. Been around the game a good while now and had my hands on some super nice dogs. Cole is a special one. When you have a 2 1/2 year old dog doing the same work just as well as my 4 year old HRCH MH with a grand pass. That's pretty special. I agree you can't take a puppy and say that's a future grand dog. But by the time they are 2 - 3 years old you kinda know what your working with. They either have it or they don't.

You people can say i'm crazy. I really don't care what you think. I've been there and seen it. Trained with several GRHRCH MH dogs everyday for a year straight not to long ago. You start to learn what to look for in a GRHRCH dog. Once you've handled one and watched a good many of them run you know one when you see one. It may be funny to you all now but i'll have the last laugh when when you see GRHRCH Midnight Yankee Diamond MH in few years.
