Awesome pics. Looks like a well rounded dog. I have a Good young chocolate lab but before I am to old, I am going to get me a Wirehair. Keep the pics coming? |

Thanks for the compliments. Yes, I'm in Texas. I picked up the A5 from Cabelas a few years ago. It was on the used gun rack with what appeared to be an unbelievably low price. I scooped it up and carried it up to the checkout counter. Sure enough, the gun was mismarked on the tag and in the computer. After a bit of discussion with the manager, they honored the marked price. In a turn of remarkable luck, they were running a gun sales promotion that weekend and the gun qualified for an additional discount. Long story short I paid just under a hundred bucks for a 1949 Belgium A5. . |

That's crazy! I still have my 3" A5 that I bought in the early 70s when I was in high school. It killed a ton of ducks and is now my turkey gun. I grew up quail hunting over pointers, but all of that is long gone in Central Florida. Even the duck hunting has been poor the last few years. We take our dogs every year to the Katy Prairie to duck hunt. Buck |
