Do any of you allow you dog in your pool(if you have one)? If so how do they get out by themselves? I've been looking at floating ramps and such but the reviews are mixed and some are really pricey.

Just looking to get some input.

I have an above ground pool (forgot to mention that) but the steps are more of a slanted ladder. However they are made of injected plastic and are completely closed in on the riser.
I think my lab being a 6 week pup, he'll have a hard time no matter what it is. I'll wait and see what happens when he gets older. Till then I'll keep and eye on him in the pool and help him out.

He has been in two swimming pools in his life. Both times I dragged him out, not pretty. He is not interested in getting in mine.

From friends who let dogs in their pools, they tell me it is hard to keep the chemicals in balance.

I'm too poor to owns one of them fancy concrete pools. Mines dogs just step out of the plastic kiddie pool after they are done cooling off!
