Post subject:  Been working with Zae!
Well i picked Zae up when she was 5mths and now she is 9mnths and i have her double retrieving, laying when told in the field(and when i get on the duck call she lays down), taking some hand signals, marking downed birds, and hunting with nose and site.
I lost my other lab last 4th of july and wife told me i needed another one but i thought i could never replace my other one but i have this one now and man she picks up fast on commands. I will have some video's of her progress soon to come. Here are some pics about 2 days ago of her making some retreives out at my lease. hope you guys enjoy! ;)






These are pics of the day i picked her up, she was 5 months old, beautiful girl!

Gator, did you send her anywhere? Or you did all the training?

Am I expecting to much from my 8 week old pup to do more than chase throw dummies, balls and sortof bring them back. I'm having 1 hell of a time trying to get him to sit and lie down. Everything I'm reading says, don't put too much into a dog younger than 3 months or so.

Thanks a bunch man. I really appreciate it.

I wanna take mine to the little pond/lake we have in the hood, but the edge of the water is not a gradual drop. Right now the water is low in it, and is about 6-8inches below the lowest ground. The bottom is about 1' below water surface and drastically drops off. 5' from the bank it's about 4-5' deep. I need to fins a more shallow are for him to run in the water.
