Again, it does not look like Crips will have any lodging available for us this year. I had them put a hold on the rooms at Uncertain Inn and at Shady Glade this year, but did not personally reserve them. You will need to contact them directly to book your reservation. I believe Uncertain Inn on the water is already full, but at this time they do still have some availability down the road. Shady Glade is holding rooms until April 15, after that the rooms will be released to anyone who calls whether they're with the ride or not. Please get your spots booked soon if you are planning on coming down. Reservations will fill up fast. If you book at Uncertain Inn or Shady Glade, you may want to mention you are with the Fun Run.

Does anybody have the direct email to uncertain inn. I tried calling to verify my reservations and they either don't answer or have bad service. And the email on the site haven't got a reply in a week. Thanks

I have an email for the last lady but not the new one. The new lady said she lives on taylor island so she may be having some issues with the flood. What are you trying to find out? If you're looking for something for the run, the waterfront stuff is booked. (Hopefully they'll be operational by june). The rooms a mile or so back up the road may be available.

Post subject:  Re: Lodging

I think you guys will be surprised how fast they get the rentals back up and running. Also, most of the rentals at shady glade are across the street so they were not flooded. There should be plenty of stuff available for rent. Johnson's and Uncertain both got hit pretty hard, but I'm hearing the cabins at Johnson's will be salvageable. Will try to get in touch with Uncertain Inn soon and see how they're looking.

Uncertain inn should still have some availabilty at the motel a mile back up the road. Shady glade may still have a motel room available and probably a trailer or two as well. Those will be closer and have a place to park your boat. You're gonna have to call around and check though.

Np. There is still a lot going on down there with the flooding and stuff, so be patient with the returned calls and emails. Both of those places have voicemail though and i've found that to be the best way to get in touch.

Post subject:  Re: Lodging

I spoke with Sarah at Shady Glade this morning. They still have 2 motel rooms available and mobile home number 1 and 3. We stayed in 3 last year, it's pretty nice. They have been swamped, literally, but are almost fully recovered from the flood. Cafe is back open, and they should have one of the two cabins that were flooded back open this weekend, and the other shortly after. So anyone who had reservations there should be good to go.

Post subject:  Re: Lodging

As of right now, the big lodge at Uncertain Inn is available again for anyone who's bringing a big family or would like to bunk with a big group of members, this would be a great option. It is waterfront, and there is a pretty decent size shoreline to park your boat(s).

You'll need to contact them directly to book a reservation.

Just spoke to Daphne at Hodge Podge.

Our #11 cabin has water in it again, so they moved us to #5. (more Party)

If anyone was staying on Taylor's island, might want to double check your reservation.

They also still have cabin #1 available.

For anyone still looking for a small cabin, go to the Spatterdock link above and give Dottie a call. The Water Lily is open and is located just behind Crip's with a dock on the water. You can walk or idle over to the festivities Saturday and never have to set foot in a vehicle.

Thanks for the updates Will. Hopefully everyone has been patient with all the places that rent to us. It's been a rough month in Uncertain. Hopefully this rain will hold off and we won't get another flood anytime soon.

What's the lake level doing now CB? Everything down this way has been teetering on flood stage for months. Every time we get a shower, shit goes out of its banks.

I'm not bitching. Beats the hell out of a drought.

Yea, it's high.. I haven't been out there, but i know its flooded pretty bad twice now. It does look like most of our rentals will be serviceable long as we don't get hammered too much between now and then.

We'll be out the entire week before so we will have plenty of time to change routes if neccessary and to warn those coming if there is any areas where you need to be real careful with your wake.

The ride is happening either way though. We'll be there and we will make somethin fun happen no matter what.
