Mark your calendars guys this is the date for this years Lake Seminole Poker Run. Last year we had over 50 boats and this year promises to bring a great crowd and be a lot of fun!
We normally start around 9AM and ride til Supper with a break for lunch and raffle so plan accordingly.

Here are some options for lodging.

The poker run is out of Big Jims/Spring Creek Resort. There are launches and lodging right there

Big Jims has the motel, the big trailer that sleeps a bunch someone splits every year, and a few little prefab trailer/cabins. There is a new campground called "fins and feathers campground" that is right by sealys- 5 minute truck ride or 10 minute boat ride. I don't know anything about it, I just hear it advertised on the radio. Looks like they have a couple of cabins/lodges they rent out. Trails end is 10-15 minutes by truck and probably 25 or so by boat. Wingates is nearly an hour by truck but only about 10-15 minutes by boat (it's straight across the lake). I'd look into Big Jims first as you can walk to the launch and leave your boat parked there and not have to drive anywhere. If you have a group of 4-6 you might look into that new campground at sealys.

There's also Seminole state park that has cabins and campgrounds. 15-20 minutes by boat. 10 by truck. Much cleaner and closer than trails end.

I've never gone to Seminole for the amenities/luxury the two reasons I go down there are to kill shit and get fucked up with like minded individuals aka OG'S. If you want to swirl wine and stay in a room where politics and investment diversity are discussed (with no roaches) lake lanier is near Atlanta. If you wanna have an awesome time and maybe stay in a room where children were conceived on one side and someone got stabbed over an 8-ball on the other come on down I got a can of raid.

I am authorizing anybody to issue throat punches to occupants of boats who are wearing flat bills and/or cranking bro country crap like Luke Bryan, fl. Ga. Line, rascal flats, or any other music deemed gay as fuck.

If the ride is anything like this thread it's gonna be one hell of a good time!

It's like a redneck shit show circus mixed with a goat roping and a pig sticking, with a couple of explosives mixed in (for real.....there's always an explosive or 2 dropped in the water during the poker run part)

Cox told us on friday they would be watching us last year. I never saw them on the day of the run, but that doesn't mean they never saw us. Its always a risk to drink and drive a boat so.......

GW came to sandbar last year on Friday afternoon. He stopped and BSed and left everyone alone

We passed one going to the blue hole on Saturday, he waved at us as we passed him about 30 feet away

I would hate to see what the Seminole or Decatur county drunk tanks look like.

How would they tow your boat? Would they pull it to the bot ramp and put it on the trailer and tow all your stuff? I don't want to find out I'm just courious.
