Greetings all!

I'm new here and love the community. Great forum!

Harvey is about to hit the Texas coast and there is going to be a lot, LOT of flooding.

I am new to the mud boat, but know that we have a capability that others don't have. I know there is a "Cajun Navy". How do we get involved in a "Lone Star Flotilla" and help those that need it?

I'm in the D/FW area so not worried about flooding in my immediate area.

Any info, introductions would be super.

Thanks in advance, Bob

I'm on the NE side of town & would be able to use my boat if needed. Does anyone know who to contact to see if it's needed?

Hey all,

I downloaded Scanner Radio Deluxe form the App Store and have been able to listen in on the various police, fire and ems departments.

I don't know if they are turning volunteers away, but this might be a way to find areas of desperate need.

I may try to come to Houston to see if I can help. Better to try and be turned away than be needed and not try.

God bless all who are serving. Be safe!

Bob

It is my understanding that the Cajun Navy Is on the way. Cajun Navy FB page states that all boats welcome!

The weather channel has reported that the City of Houston is commandeering boats for the purposes of search and rescue.

I doubt you will be turned away.

I am headed down in the morning through College station and will be looking for guidance from local law enforcement and fire and rescue.

I'm not sure what will happen, but there are a lot of people in harms way.

God bless! Bob
