Distance traveled
For anyone interested and or worried about distance travel Saturday, 21 miles before lunch and 24 after lunch if you wanna run around through the locks and up into miller lake (lots of veggies to run up there). Some people boat all the way around, some pull out and trailer to the ramp under i-10 IMG_1293.JPGIMG_1295.JPG

Re: Distance traveled
Bottom one is closer to 24, it's tracked one way. With the wind it night be easier to trailer .

Re: Distance traveled
I would prepare for no less than a 50 mile day, i ran 55 miles total last year and burned about 9 gallons of fuel.

Re: Distance traveled
I also posted this on FB, but if the water is high enough with this wind, you can cut through right here next to Hugo point and nock about half the lake out of the way so not in the wind any longer than we have to be. Ill check that out as well tomorrow. IMG_1296.JPG

Re: Distance traveled
Ran the route this morning, only one small stretch of the route that needed to be cleared alittle but I believe it will be taken care of Friday. Water was also high but not near as bad as last year. South wind was blowing at about 15mph today but the lake was easily manageable. Ran a total of 24 miles flat and it was about 1/2 a tank of gas (6 gal tank). Looking forward to a great a weekend! Re: Distance traveled
I launched at the ramp under I 10 the other day it is very tight in there probably wouldn't be able to launch more than one boat at a time but I could get out of there before the water dropped.
