 Bacon explosion meatloaf Decided to try this. Made the bacon weave mat. Took 1 lb of ground meat and 1 lb of italian sausage, mixed it up with seasoning. Fried up the rest of the bacon. Took a layer of the ground meat and sausage mix, layered the cooked bacon and cheddar cheese. Cover that with the rest of the meat mix, and pinch the ends together to hold everything in. The wrapped it all in the bacon weave. 350* oven for 1 hour so far. Gonna check it in a little while.

Re: Bacon explosion meatloaf Well, i tried the meatloaf tonight. And I can definately say that I will be cooking this again. It came out great.
JP, she's not my wife yet. I'll be asking that question later this year. She didn't take it last night, but she was standing over the pan with a kinfe and fork as I took it out of the oven tonight. She loved it.
And incase anybody wanted to know, its make a great sandwich with a little BBQ sauce.

Re: Bacon explosion meatloaf looks great! What about next time doing cubes of cheddar cheese or your favorite into cubes and mix in with the meat? I'm a huge fan of cheese
