Well, my wife went Wed mornin for a mammogram. She got a letter from their office today sayin they found something that they want to investigate further. Needless to say, she's flippin out. Her grandpa died after his long, grueling fight with cancer, so she's automatically thinkin the worst. Looks like it's gonna be a long w/e. Please keep her in your prayers.

My mother too had a biopsy done last week - the waiting is the hard part...

Camo, we got that call, and unfortunately, it was something.

Surgeries, chemo, reconstruction, etc. Been there. 3 1/2 years later, she's fine, & her 6 month check ups are turning out fine.

Prayers from the bombdude house that it's nothing. But also rest in the fact that breast cancer is probably the most treatable type of cancer. Way more successes than failures if it's caught soon enough.

Prayers sent. We too have a close family member that gots the stage 1 report last week. Mines reserch is that ... yes ... it can be successfully treated and all will be fine. Give her all the love and support that she derserves !!!

Well, she talked to her dr this mornin and he wants to schedule an ultrasound. Waitin to hear back.

Meanwhile, you guys can take comfort in this- if they suspect something for sure, they usually would have gotten an ultrasound asap, they don't mess around if they think it is serious. Doctors will usually call you, even after hours, rather than send a letter that can take a week to get there. Probably something tons of women have, just a double check after a not-so-perfect mammogram. Could be a shadow in the image, anything.

Well, according to the dr, it looks like cystic fibrosis. Not the best outcome, but damn sure better than what we were worryin about. Did another mamo and an ultrasound yesterday. Still waiting to hear back.
