 Re: how much play
Both ours have a lil play in them. I don't think its a problem. They won't take the old lower unit in on trade. We tried with our last one and are about to have to upgrade the other one.

 Re: how much play
Thanks fella's. It is finally starting to show some wear, but still tough as a titanium anvil. On what DA saidm that's usually how I do everything, can't fix it until it breaks. Thanks guys!

 Re: how much play
I been meaning to call PD about changing out that round bushing in the tower housing that the lower unit rides on. Don't know what you call it but it's made out of that cutting board type material. I'm thinking over time it wears out causing the play you are seeing. You could knock it out and replace it. May tighten things back up.

 Re: how much play
They took my old lower unit in after the bearings went out. Sold me a new style for $570.00 with the old one in as a trade. They said they do it as a trade cause they know the old ones are trash.
New one without the old as trade is almost a grand.
