Live & cut bream is my favorite. I used shad this weekend which works great but is really to soft to stay on a hook long.

Just wondering is anyone tried cutting up one of those jumping carp and trying that. I use shad and mullet but very now and then I'll have trouble catching them and figured all I got to do is drive the boat and catching a carp is a pretty sure thing. We got a serious problem arising. They are definitely getting worse.

Yeah. Don't see why not. I sure wish it were legal to have a gun while frogging cause I tell ya, it sure would be fun puttin some lead in them carp when they jump.

The new world record bluecat 130lbs was caught on filet of asian carp. Asian carp is real popular around here for trotline/jumper line bait. I like little bluegills or yellowbelly cats with the stingers clipped off. I do not however let the big ones go. I got a strong market for them.
