 Building my first mm boat! Help please!! As soon as I sell my current boat (17x56 w/ 40 ETEC $7500) I will be getting Charles Lenard to build me a boat. I thinking of going with 2048 with a smooth bottom and putting a 36pd on her. Anyone know how this will run. Would a 18 or 19' be better? Also I was thinking about putting two 4' runners on the bottom to help with sliding. Any advice or suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Re: Building my first mm boat! Help please!! Sounds like it's gonna be a good setup. Instead of runners on the bottom, get him to do tapered chines instead of square.

Re: Building my first mm boat! Help please!! My 1644 has round chines and sittin still it drafts about 8" with a 35 on the back.
