 Re: Swamp People Series
They were out by the camp last week, Charenton area and were putting lines on the WMA, I kinda scratched my head cause don't know if they can do that. Then some other fellers passed by the houseboat this weekend and was putting lines on stateland. Hope they don't get caught, I don't have a problem with that wish they get rid of the gators around the camp cause they sure are alot of them now.

 Re: Swamp People Series
Now I feel like it's a broken record with the narrator. They need to change it up. Still a great show.
Also what do the "swamp people" do the other 11 months of the year?

Big Mike is a stout mofo. I have seen him 1 hand lift and sling a couple gators into the boat like they were nothing. You wouldn't want him to get ahold of you that for sure.......

Unfortuneately there are few opportunist who get a little creative and begin buying site specific tags and selling them to harvesters. Now they have federal criminal records.

 Re: Swamp People Series
Poker that boat he built on last weeks show was a joke of a boat. Have you seen any good looking boats he has built? I notice he runs a GDSD rig and not one of his own. Randy

 Re: Swamp People Series
I like the show. Watch it every week. Etc, etc...
Bein somewhat of a gun nut, I've got a couple gripes. I don't think I've heard a shot yet that has that distinct "22" sound. I know, sound deflection, range, angle & all play a part in the sound, but it sounds like a dubbed noise to me.
Then this past week, when Tommy was shootin at "Godzilla" from a distance, he was linin' up with a bolt action centerfire with a scope. They then showed the actual shot with an exposed hammer droppin' as if a lever action or a single shot. (couldn't see the whole gun). Not the first time I've seen the gun switch on the show.
Consistency please.

 Re: Swamp People Series
I know one thing is that if I built boats, made mudmotors or owned a cooking ingrediants business I would be working my products in real fast. I know you guys in the South really like this show but people up here are crazy over this show. Everyone talks about it. It will have a following as big as Deadliest Catch I guarantee. The only down side for the gator fisherman will be everyone will want a piece of the action since the mystic of gator hunting is now on prime time. Next year Troy will have 'Tree Shakka' hats and t shirts. And a website at treeshakka.com If he don't he will miss out on more money than the gators are paying. Way more money. I had a guy contact me about doing a show/pilot on commercial fishing the Ohio River in a same type scenario as Swamp People. There is alot of people out there with way more money than most looking for a foothold in some business that are best kept quite or flying low under the radar. We are very competative in the comm fishing business and I can guarantee that there are just as many characters fishing the waters everyday as there is anywhere else. Shoot alot of you guys on here would make great tv personalitys. I personally don't want the competition after the show is off. I respectfully declined but .....you never know. Randy

 Re: Swamp People Series
Netman you are right. People that don't have no idea about what goes on down here gets all tied up in it. For the stars of the shows, it's jsut what they do everyday to make a living. Most people will never get the chance to get out and experience it. That is why they get hooked on TV shows. I don't know about most that gator hunt, but most have told me, it's not as exciting as on the TV show. Usually it's a slow pull to the water surface and bang. Dead gator. The thrashing around it to make it all look dangerous on TV. Makes it more appealing to people that don't know. I'm glad LA is getting exposure. Maybe we can get more people to realize then we will not be written off because of a few hurricanes.
