 Suggestions on new boat
We're gonna have uncle j build our boat. 18 54. 36 pd. If y'all have any suggestions on what u wish u had gotten or could live without let me know. We're getting center console with hydro steer and reverse. Plan to put gun box in front of console for seating. Any layouts u think better than the other? Thanks for the help

I dont think ur gonna like the gunbox there its gonna be all in the way I would put it along the side and have an all open floor and just use buckets or small folding chairs for seating but that is me its ur boat do what u want but I dont like anything in the middle of the boat

 Re: Suggestions on new boat
My next boat will have a completly open floorplan. Passengers can ride on the floor. Hatch in the front deck, built in gas tank, and a drivers seat, thats it. My .02

 Re: Suggestions on new boat
Shadow and Dorzya both had him build gas tanks....in hindsight I think I would have asked for him to do the same.

 Re: Suggestions on new boat
Kinda think It might be in the way too. If it was on the side it could double as seating still. He is gonna put an 18 gal tank in for us. Also lights in front. What about other accessories. Should I just keep it simple. Plan to hunt mostly but may do some fishing and what not. Thanks for the replies guys. I can't wait to get this thing done and to the marshes

 Re: Suggestions on new boat
why not have the gun box behind the cc like war eagle does like to where you can sit on it and drive and then also have guns and dry storage in it

 Re: Suggestions on new boat
instead of nunc-j buildin u a tank i had him build me an extended deck which is extremely nice, that gives you dry storage up front along with under deck storage which is also nice so i went and bought a 16 gallon low profile tank (attwood plastic) which slides very nicely under the deck it only cost 170 and you dont have to slide it in and out to fill her up........thats my .02 and oh yea i would put the gun box on the side also.

 Re: Suggestions on new boat
I just had Brother build my gas tank in with an extended deck over it and storage on each side. Trying to get the best of both worlds.
