 Re: Swamp People Series
Man, when they showed that dude mixin' the bait with his hands (and arms), that had to gross a few folks out. Looked like it could gag a maggot. It had a "gravy" to it. That dude must have a strong stomach. He could probably work pickin' up tore up dead bodies in bad car wrecks and it wouldn't bother him. I could almost smell it thought the tv

 Re: Swamp People Series
Love the show, love the scenery & love who they portray the Cajun people. Hoping that they cover in detail the fishing cooking & hunting that these good folks do. My only question is the way they portray the taking of alligators in LA the only means in which that they can be harvested? I've notice many of the trappers on the show refer to it as "gator fishing" & it seems the producers are pushing it as "gator hunting." Here in Florida, we hunt gators in more of a "fair chase" method that is shown on the show. All of our hunting is done @ night with bows, crossbows & harpoons. We are very selective in what we harvest & normally do not even take anything under (7) seven feet though I understand this can not be done in the methods being shown on the series. No "unattended" lines are allowed to be used during our public season. Seems more like "gator fishing" or just flat our "commercial harvesting" to us over here!!!

 Re: Swamp People Series
Yeah I don't think the producers make it very clear to the general people that don't know any better that this is COMMERCIAL GATOR FISHING not something every person in Louisiana does. They need to make that point in the show at some time or another. In a way, people could assume that anyone could kill that many gators. Which isn't true at all.

 Re: Swamp People Series
The sad part about the whole thing is the shoddy azz way that they cut and pasted this crap together. They will pull up to a line and during the fight they will flash through as many as 4 different locations and 2-3 different guns and think that no one will notice that BS. They will pull up to a line covered in hyacinth, then it shows cypress trees and then a mud bank and when they "finally" pull up that 10'-500 pounder it turns out to be 4' & 50lbs. I guess the yankees buy into it............... And that "shrimp" gumbo had chicken and sausage, no skrimps.

 Re: Swamp People Series
I think Joe and Tommy had been drinking adult beverages too. I wonder if we are the only ones that notice the different boats, guns and motors during the different scenes. I'm not really hip on father and sons fighting. I see enough of that crap at work every night.....like tonight. I still like the show and want a boat like Junior runs. I'm thinking of having Uncle J build me a skiff with 30 inch sides. Well see. Randy
