Post Boat Styles?
Just wondering what boat style fits you uses and why. Going to build one here soon and curious is to what yall like. I personally like the skiffs but dont like the wasted space in the front the way it comes to a point. Leaning towards the way the Gator Trax is built.

Thanks for any input!!

I like a bateau. It's really gonna depend on what you intend to use it for 80% of the time. I got mine with a 54" bottom for stability when I bowfish. I personally think the best one you can build no matter what the design is an open floor layout. No gun boxes, nothing. No dry storage. Just a deck and a floor. Then you can add and take things out for whatever your doing. Gotta have tall sides for yhe lakes Im in also. That's how my next one will be.

i personally prefer the pointed nose for glancing off of trees and cypress knees, buddy of mine got thrown out out of a mudboat when the front corner hit a tall cypress knee and brought the boat to a halt

It all depends what u gonna do with it most of the time. I like skiffs and regular bateaus. I always like my boats open designed so I am not limited to what I can do with it. I've owned several skiffs and a couple bateaus and like them equally. I'd go with what u prefer they will both get the job done

I had a 17 44" huntdeck gator trax nice boat but kind of wet,it did hunt good but I fish & bowfish to and found a 44" wide bottom is to narrow.I wouldn't go with less than a 48" unless you hunt tight places. I went with a 18 54" gator tail extreme.
