I ordered a 35GTR from the factory two weeks ago. At the time I was told 3-4 weeks. I'm just wondering if they deliver on their lead times, or if they are bad about delays. Thanks

Delays can/do happen but for the most part they are delivered on schedule or sooner.

Not trying to be a smart ass or anything, but why wouldn't you call GT instead of asking randomly on this site? Whatever might have happened to someone else's order, doesn't mean the same thing happens to yours!

Talked to the guys @ GT. The motor will be on schedule if not ahead of schedule. I am trying to schedule a week of vacation (before I leave for my days off tomorrow) for when the motor is ready. I had not heard back from GT yet and I didn't want to risk wasting the vacation.

That's why I randomly posted the question on the forum.

I sure hope they are right on with their delivery time!

My buddy is supposed to bring his boat Friday for them to mount the motor that he just ordered last Wednesday.

If not, he's gonna be in a bind Saturday morning for the East zone opener.

Don't even get me started on Gator-tail's customer service skills. A week turned into a month, then it was poorly crated and the motor was damaged. I e-mailed pics to Kyle after I talked to him, he was gonna send me the part, It's been 3 weeks and I have heard nothing. I'm about to write a review with pics and video on the whole experience if sht don't change soon.


No hats, no t-shirts, nothing as promised. The only thing pleasant about the experience is that the motor is badass, if they could make phone calls like they build motors, they'd be unstoppable.

Now let's see how long that one stays up.

I did get it from Keith, but ended up dealing with GT directly at times, and Keith at times. Nobody could ever give me a direct answer on when/where my motor was.. For 7100 bucks, you'd think a dude could get a shirt or a hat, never happened. I tried really hard not to let it out, but my patience is running thin.

I gotta give Keith a lot more credit than Kyle at GT, he called me every now and then, even called me after his honeymoon just to check on me. I don't wanna make any enemies, I like Keith a lot and would buy more from him, but things still aren't right with what I was promised. I'm not sure what I really gained by not doing it myself.


Not to stir the pot, but dayum, pro-drive sends my buddy sht all the time out of appreciation, he's got like 10 hats and shirts and stuff, stickers. I can't even get my broken part sent to me.

Not to mention all the cosmetic damage to the motor from the crating, I got grooves wore in my lower unit from the metal strapping, and paint gone from the motor rubbing.

Oh, dammit. Can't blame ya for bein upset. When was the last time ya talked to either & what did they say? I know Keith's been busy lately, between the new shop goin up & the honeymoon, but I also know he's been tryin his best to take care of the customers too.

Sorry that your part has not been sent to you yet, it should have been taken care of weeks ago. I was unaware that you have not got it. I told Kyle to send it to you wether you send the pics or not and I would pay for the part my self. I will make sure this is taken care of tomorrow
I can not get you a gator tail shirt in 2x but I will send you a setx shirt if you want it.

seems like Kyle needs to hire some more people so stuff gets taken care of around that place. im starting to see more and more complaints bout GT customer service and thats never good for a business.

i dont blame ya one bit for being upset with the situation at hand DMD. hope all this gets taken care of for you man.

I've dealt with Keith at SETX Performance on many cases. He has always went On and Beyond on ever deal. I promise you that if he has to buy the part out of his own pocket, he will. That is the type of person he is. Hope everything is taking care of..

Everytime ive been to Prodrive for any reason they have always hooked me up either that day while i waited or had my rig back in a day or two...and always left with a hat,shirt,decal,something....just sayin....just got a new rig and went with another Prodrive. Dont know bout Gatortail,but my experiences with Prodrive....customer service goes a loooonnngggg way!

I am just not seeing the problems that others are seeing with GT. My trim went out on a friday and i sent it off Monday and i had it back before that weekend. Granted i also went through keith and he did all the communicating, i talked to Kyle one time and he was working on my trim along with another guy as we spoke on the Phone. Now i am not no communications expert! But it does seem like they could use a little more people on the phone side of things relaying messages!

Well, minutes after I posted that, I got a call from Keith. He's sending me the part tomorrow out of his own pocket, which pisses me off because it isn't his fault and Kyle was supposed to have taken care of it. As I told Keith on the phone, I apologize if I have seemed like an ass, and as I said, I would buy from him again in a minute.



I will also post pics in another thread of the motor damage, you will see the crating techniques. It would have probably been fine across town, but not for 1200 miles in a handful of trucks.


I will take a picture of me wearing only my new SETX shirt as soon as I get it, just for ya'll.

Well that certainly went fast. My phone was ringing minutes later, and even got a pm from the man himself, Kyle Broussard.


Things are looking up, I am now looking forward to my part.
