copperhead mudmotor
a friend of mine has a 10hp copperhead it runs good but looking at it this weekend its built very cheap. it clamps to the boat with round head bolts backwards they rattle lose and there goes the motor if not bolted. besides that the lower shaft is a piece of chit, he hasnt had it for long and already has gone through like 4 seal. instead of having a bearing in front of the prop it has seals and if you get into thick mud with sandy bottom there goes the seals. he sent it back to copperhead b/c the guy was supposed to fix the problem. we got in the boat friday evening and by late friday evening the seals were gone. seems to me the guys who dont use a copperhead in sandy bottom love them, but if in sandy bottom or in south la, i wouldnt buy one just me stating my opinion. i guess thats why i have a gtr.

Re: copperhead mudmotor
maybe but think about it every other mud motor has bearings on the shaft not his it has seals you can actually take the shaft and move it 1/2'' around
