Post BLIND material life?
i got a mudbuddy shaggy blind i gues 3 to 4 years ago and my blind material is about shot the netting is good but alot of the shaggy material is gone gonna replace with some kind of material either camo netting or the averyfast grass with the windblocker behind it.what has a better life expectancy? they both fit in with my surroundings great.just don't want to waste money.

I only get about 2 seasons out of the fast grass, it also depends on how much you trailer your boat and how you store it.

Fast grass looks awesome but it isn't tough what so ever. Make your own shaggy blind.

I built my first boat blind this year and used the fast grass. You can tell that it is not meant to last. But looking at the area I hunt, when I switch my material out, I'm going with the marsh grass. Would help me blend in a lot better.

If you going to go the fast grass route, hit up Academy after the season. Great prices.

Go to Lowes or Home depot and buy plastic 1" garden netting rolls. Cut to fit each fastgrass panel and attach it to the backside of each panel with several zipties. Attach the plastic netting to your blind's frame instead of the fastgrass itself. This relieves stress on the grass mats so they won't stretch out and shread. Also makes handling individual mats easier to cover your engine, deck and openings.

Saw Cabela's has 10lbs of Rafia grass from 40 bucks. Thats some good shit to mix with your fast grass to look more realistic.

Just zip tie a bunch of rafia grass on it. That's what I did and it looks awesome.

Blind material is expensive and doesn't last that long! Just read some of these posts. Call Lance for info about BUST'EM BOAT BLINDS. They're an affordable, hard shell blind that allows the use of natural materials like grass, brush, willows etc.. from the areas where YOU hunt, for the best concealment at literally no cost year after year.
