Post Ever seen your clutch smoke?
I picked up my boat last week from the GT shop, while it was there they looked it over and changed a few things out.One of the things they changed was my clutch.Well Friday afternoon I was riding when I came across a boat stuck while in the process of pulling them off my clutch started smoking like a broke chimney.I shut it down and got pulled in,I thought it was burned up.When I checked it out the next morning I could not find anything wrong with it.Took it out and put it through the paces and not a single problem so I do not know WTF happened but I don't want it to crap out when I need it,ya know.

I had the same thing happen to me about a month ago. Everything seems fine.

thats more than likely your reverse clutch/brake pads. if you don't squeeze the reverse lever tight enough it will slip and create heat which will smoke and eventually melt that plastic transimission cover. not that big of a deal they all will do it

Hahaha

I also saw it when you were doing some 4 grand clutch dumps on that trail going back to the lake with the big ass gator.

I was in the lake, and with him on the other side of the trail i could smell that thing roasting.

Yea it just threw me for a loop because my old one had a little over 200 hours and I've had it worse conditions and it never did this.I talked to Hoyt today and all is good just have to keep an eye on it.You could see where the smoke had left residue around the wire harness on the clutch. With this west wind I may take it out Wednesday and get it in some mud.
