My skiff is 19x42 and it has 3 corrigations in the bottom. It actually doesnt slow me down or hinder performance any way in mud or lillies. It turns on a dime too. I was worried bout that when I put the GTR on it but once I ran it, no problem. Ive been side by side with boats with no runners and thought they would out perform me but that wasnt the case. Only real difference Is I smoke em down curvy bayous cause I can turn without sliding.

I had a ribbed boat. It turned good but it would get hung up on stumps n the swamp. I really like my skiff with a smooth bottom it is way better n the swamp.

I have a ribbed boat and I still slide in some turns, but probably due to it's weight.

They have 1/8 and 3/16 boats that are "ribbed". Mine is 100 ga. I crawfish wit it and run anywhere I wanna go. It wont slide sideways off of a cypress knee bit it will continue to go forward or back off of it. I dont have any problems wit mine. And like I said in an earlier post, I can turn without sliding.

Slick bottom is the only way to go if you are usin it like I do!

The ribs dont hurt you until you get on a hard bottom, stumps, or thick veggies. I hunt a lake that has stumps out the ass facin everwhichway and you can slide over them if you hit it sraight on but if you come up on one at a strange angle your hung up like a pair of beagle dogs.

In veggies they plow through instead of sliding over.

What makes you want a ribbed bottom boat?
