I don't have one... but I do have a rail that goes down the length of the boat

Condom or no condom? Best to have one when chartering unknown territory.

Re: grab bar or no grab bar?
What is a Jeti? You part Yeti part Jedi? That would help you blend well with a Shaggy Blind and have the balance to negate the grab bar when running the stumps.

Re: grab bar or no grab bar?
No way I would run without a grab bar. I'd have been in the water a few times already. Not good when air temps are zero to 40s and water temps in the 30s.

Re: grab bar or no grab bar?
I dont like em! they get in the way and take up space..... get you a rail down the side of your boat like westend has on his boat. I had one on the last boat I bought and ended up removing it permanently and got rails welded on.
just my .02

Re: grab bar or no grab bar?
I've got one that is easily removable. I use it most of the time but when I don't need it, with the twist of a handle it slides right out.

Re: grab bar or no grab bar?
I stand whenever I am looking in the water for obstacles to avoid...probably 60% of the time in general and 100% of the time when running shallow.

Re: grab bar or no grab bar?
We run cold water and fast rivers here in Alaska. I have a grab bar and use it. Going in our water can kill ya in less than 10 minutes even if you don't get hit by the prop. Why would you not want a garb bar? Duckdon

Re: grab bar or no grab bar?
Ive been running my boat over a year without one. I just added one a couple weeks ago only for a more easily reachable spot for a beer holder. Grab bar is removable and has "beverage" holder right under my hand. I run standing up bout 90% of the time. I have almost been thrown a couple times without it and always wanted to put one but I dont find it is a must.
