poling platform ideas

 poling platform ideasI'm about to build a poling platform for a 1848pd boat with a 36 pd.
I'm planning on using 1 1/4" round aluminum tubing, what wall thickness should I use, would .125" be sufficient? I am going to have it some of the back at 70degrees with the platform about 4' above the motor at its highest point when its tilted up. Sound good? more ideas and pics of yours would be great! |

Anyone have pictures of a poling platform on a 48"bottom boat?...just curious if I will have to give up some of my right turn radius. |
