 Re: Booats
Too much crap is bad for performance, but some build with a purpose. I have a 18x60 tall sides and transom , because I hunt in venice crossing the mississippi river. I do give up some ability to perform in mud and veggies with the extra width, but there is nothing else in it. To me safely crossing the river was a better option than running better in mud and veggies. Oh, stock I was running 27. I always thought most were full of $hit when it came to there speeds.

 Re: Booats
For the record the catwalk on a 1854 is 29.5 lbs. Lighter than a sack of decoys

 Re: Booats
59 pounds right for cat walks that is heavy !! Like I said my opinion is people overbuild boats with extras!! Simple facts heavy boats will not run on the side light boats.....

 Re: Booats
Well, Here's my $.02. (for what it is worth)
Just cause a Mercury 2.5 liter is on a Allison going 105mph, doesn't mean it can't be on a workboat going 50mph.
With this said, different strokes for different folks.. I think that havin a comfortable boat built for the owners use is the right way. Fast or slow
Love, Uncle J
