 Re: Xpress Duck Boat - 16' x 52"
Unless it was giving to you for free, I would stay away. I got rid of mine after one season. It didn't do well with a load (3 people and hunting gear in boat), the v bottom kicked my butt in hard shallow bottom. I had to get out the boat more than once to push it off of what ever it was stuck on. It's a nice boat just not the boat you want for a mud motor.

They are nice boats, but if you plan on using them for mud then stay away. Running lakes and rivers it is a hell of a boat. My buddy still has my 1546 that is 12 years old with a 25 yamaha. It has been thru hell and still is in good condition. I had a 1870 and it was a beast on the lakes, but when the vegetation got out of control on local lakes, I had to get a mud motor. We don't have mud up here like ya'll do down there so it isn't a problem for us. Those skinny boats with the v don't do as well as these mud hulls. Unless you are getting a hell of a deal then steer clear if you plan on running mud.

Thats thier mudboat series, good boat but I think you can get more bang for your buck elsewhere.

A custom boat would be a good option, the builders are competitivley priced... financing may be an issue.
