Anyone know what the hp rating is on an old (70s) quachita 1548? M buddys got one that he wants to offload cheap and he claims he can't find the badges Because the guy that had it before him turned it into a "bass boat". Its got a 35 hp on it and I know my old quachita 1448 was only rated for a 25. Thanks.

Maybe if I just camo it it won't stand out as being too large for the boat

Had a 23 GDLT on a 1542 quachita with no problem, prior to the longtail I ran a 35 evinrude on it.

I have never had the dnr check a hp rating yet on any of my boats. I was kinda in your situation not to long ago. Picked up a mb surface drive for the right price and had to find a boat for it. Got a 16' flat for now and can't wait to get the real boat for it in the near furture.
